A Long Walk and then the Sea

I grew up in farming country but it was dairy and sheep farming and not arable land so sights like this are a novelty for me.

I'd like to say that it was in the field edge and that it was a lovely case of bio-diversity but no the fields are grain edge to edge with little sign of anything wild. This little clump is just by the side of the road well away from an actual field.

We went for a lovely walk though down Lovers Lane.

With the usual view of the dog when he's on a lead.

And then the bear was banished to the house while we went for a play on a windy beach.

Some unusual driftwood... it was once a chair and was already upright when we arrived at the beach so no idea what state it was in when it was first washed up.

There was a lot of stone throwing.

I'm not sure which one of them enjoyed it the most...

A bit of mummy burying.

Both feet to be thorough.

And then the rain came so we went back to the car but saw a toad en route.
